The custom house logs we use are supplied to us by Pioneer Log Homes of British Columbia. Pioneer Log Homes of British Columbia have been crafting log homes since 1973 and have available to them the finest stands of pine and western red cedar. Their master builders create your home at their site using the almost lost art of hand-crafted log building. The logs are hand peeled with draw knives and finished with axes and slicks. |

| After the structure has been assembled at their site, it is then disassembled and shipped to your building site, where it is reassembled by our crew. Kovar Construction will erect the log structure anywhere in the state of Michigan. We will work with you, the homeowner or your builder of choice assisting in the completion of your dream home. |

We work closely with the owner to assure they have the dream home they have always wanted. Owner participation is always an option. You can become as involved with your new home as you want. Or you can just watch as our experienced crew make your dream become a reality. We have constructed all types of log homes, from lake front cottages to large nine bedroom lodges. New building techniques, such as spray on foam insulation in the roof, are combined with the old fashioned natural insulating properties of logs, for an energy efficient home. Let us show you the beauty of these Scandinavian Scribed log homes. The logs are hand scribed and cut so they fit together tightly. This makes for a high quality log home as no chinking is needed. Tongue and groove ceiling and interior walls, and rustic stairways are only some of the options that make these homes so unique. The logs used are chosen carefully, using their natural beauty to add character to the home. |
